Theme Parties for 2015

Wednesdays - german

The Wednesday parties both weeks this year will have a Stocktoberfest theme. Think German beer gardens! Think lederhosen! Think accordions and pretzels and saurkraut! Our Wednesday Party Master of Ceremonies, Bruce Mitchell, has lots of entertainment ready to roll!

1st Saturday - croatian

The Saturday party during the first week will have a Croatian theme. Our Croatian dance specialist, Željko Jergan, will help to plan the dinner menu, the activities, and the dances during the evening.

The Saturday party during the second week will feature a Latin America theme. Cesar Garfiaz, our Salsa Rueda specialist, will be in charge of the festivities.

Time Capsule Event

On Friday afternoon we've got a Time Capsule planned for your enjoyment. This year we will go BACK TO THE BALKANS and dance to the best Balkan dances of the 1980s -- dances like Sitna Zborenka, Sej Sej Bob, Dedo Mili Dedo, Imate Li Vino, Karamfil, Alunelul de la Urzica, Gocino Kolo, and Varnenska Tropanka -- all dances that were introduced at Stockton in the 1980s.

Share a Stockton Folk Dance Camp Flyer

Over the years, word-of-mouth has proven to be Stockton Folk Dance Camp's best form of advertisement, so we're counting on dancers who have attended in the past to encourage their friends to come and experience the magic of Stockton Folk Dance Camp. To help you spread the word, full-color promotional flyers in full-page or half-page sizes are now available on our website. Download a copy today and print some to take to your local dance clubs. Or download and forward a copy to your dancing friends.

Holiday Message from the Director

I would like to wish you all a happy holiday season. As we step into the new year of 2015, the Board of Directors will have their annual retreat to prepare for the next Camp season. We will take this time to evaluate last year's Camp and make necessary changes to make the 68th year a smooth-running and exciting Camp. I hope you will join the fun and bring your friends. Mark your calendar and make your reservation to join for either or both sessions this coming summer. Camp dates are July 18-26 and July 26-August 2, 2015.
